West Yorkshire started the game on the front foot and created several half chances with England International Bex Raynor prominent up front. The Lancashire defence held tight and were able to restrict West Yorkshire to long-range efforts. Alice Adams then gave Lancashire the lead after 20 minutes with a crashing left-foot drive after she had latched on to a through ball. It was not until 10 minutes from time that Lancashire made the game safe with their second goal from Natasha Fenton who thundered a right-foot shot into the roof of the net after a fine Lancashire move down the right. Four minutes later Alice Adams added her second with a bullet left-foot shot from the left into the far corner of the net. A hard-fought game with credit to both teams on an excellent game of football.

ESFA Trophy Round 1, Monday 10 November at Northfield College

Cleveland Under 18 boys 7 Lancashire Under 18 Boys 2

Lancashire crashed out of the ESFA Trophy with a heavy defeat away to Cleveland. Lancashire started the game well and took the lead through Josh Emmott after 14 minutes . Cleveland fought back to equalise after 27 minutes. Two free-kick goals just before half-time were decisive as Cleveland took control and added 4 second-half goals with Harvey Close replying for Lancashire.

Cheshire Under 16 Boys 2 Lancashire Under 16 Boys 2

Lancashire fought back well against a strong Cheshire team who were the better side in the first half and led 1-0 at half-time with a 28th. minute goal from Jacob Farleigh. Will Fraser-Gray equalised for Lancashire immediately after half-time and added his second goal 10 minutes later from the penalty spot to put Lancashire ahead. Two minutes after the Cheshire goalkeeper had made a tremendous save on the hour to prevent a third Lancashire goal, Cheshire scored a fortuitous equaliser direct from a corner. A hard-fought game with the points deservedly shared.

Lancashire Under 16 Girls 6 Merseyside Under 16 Girls 0

The Lancashire girls made an excellent start to the defence of the Northern Counties' Title which they have won for the past three years. Lancashire powered to a 4-0 half-time lead with goals from Katie Samuels, Alice Adams, Ali Johnson and Olivia Wilkes. Merseyside fought bravely in the second half and restricted Lancashire to just two further goals as Alice Adams and Ali Johnson both completed their brace.

Before the game a minute's silence was held in memory of Cadley F.C. player Melissa Smith.
